Cirencester History Festival - Behind The Store Front

£0.00
sold out

Upstairs, downstairs & behind the scenes at Rackham's. 11am–1pm.

The Old House of Fraser building to some, Rackham's to others; this building has been the pride of Cirencester’s Market Place for many centuries. Join Tom Herbert and his Long Table team for a guided tour into the past, from the dank gloom of forgotten cellars to the pokey maids’ rooms in the Tudor eaves. See how a once magnificent department store is being transformed.

We will be running two tours at 11am and 12pm - the tickets are on us so please do book as not to miss out.

Due to the ongoing building works we won't have wheelchair accessibility and there are lots of steps on the tour so please do take this into consideration.

Please bring yourselves, your memories of the place, sturdy shoes and a torch if you have one.
