The Long Table Lates: Laura Reznek + Philippe Nash

Join us on Thursday 29th January for the third event in our monthly series ‘The Long Table Lates’ with acclaimed singer-songwriter Laura Reznek!

Portalling listeners through deeply personal storytelling paired with an organic, DIY aesthetic, Laura's songwriting is a feat of honesty and self-possession. In her new albumThe Sewing Room the Canadian-born, UK based multi-instrumentalist and composer interweaves poignant reflections on the struggles of living in a patriarchal society and personal loss, with her glistening folk-tinged melodies and delicate rich vocals.

with support from Philippe Nash

ith some support slots for household names such as Thea Gilmore, Billy Bragg and Michelle Stoddart (Magic Numbers) under his belt Philippe is set to release a full length album later this year that packs an enigmatic punch. With songs that are powerfulm cathartic and fragile there is an undeniable atmosphere when he holds a room, often than not accompanied by cellist Simon Bower. Philippe’s sound is nostalgic of an era of heart broken singer songwriters (Kurt Cobain, Elliot Smith, Jeff Buckley, Damien Rice) and influenced by punk-rock, trad folk and a touch of experimental noise.
